  • Carbs, again...Float bowl screws

Thanks in advance for your collective assistance.
Problem: Bought a 92 Kat 750. The float bowl screws are either seized or extremely tight. Backed off to prevent stripping Phillips screw head.
Afraid to use Dewalt driver w/Phillips tip on it.
Considering getting allen bolt screws if I could get these buggers off.

i have dealing with the same problem. i had to use either and impact driver and one good smack to loosen it up or us a pair of vice grip to get it loose.
    good luck

I used a pair of locking needle nose and got them off. I defiently replaced mine with some allen head bolts, way easier to work with.

Yup , needlenose vice-grips and the appropriate screwdriver at the same time . Make a quick jerking motion initially to break 'em free .

Lube + needlenose vice-grips locked to screwdriver did the trick.
            Thanks to all!
