Did you check all the safety interlocks? There are other things that will kill the spark at the coils/plugs -- such as the sidestand switch while in gear.

    Cheers,

Don't worry about them.. Ignore them.. They won't go away but Md will pout and CP will calculate why, and that will keep them busy while we fix your bike.. Any progress?

I don't think it is your issue but if you heat the coils with a hair drier while measuring the resistance you will see if there is a crack in the coil that causes issues when the engine is warm. I was just wondering if cycling the coils (trying to start the bike) might open them up..

Im not getting spark out of either coil. i would be surprised if both coils went at the same time though

I just found out that there was an issue with the kill switch on this bike. the guy i bought it off of said he had to wiggle the start switch to get it started a few times. this would have been nice to know 2 months ago.

Man... that sucks. Maybe all you need to do is open up the pod and clean the contacts. Hope it's that easy for ya, sucks you've been missing out on riding for this long for such an easy fix.

OK if it is cranking then that excludes all th interlocks.
You are down to what you started with.

was the CDI from Spedee's post 98? They do have different part #'s...maybe they are not compatible??
