  • Electronical problem - not the fuses

So I was doing some mods to my bike, and needed to hook into some 12V power. So I look up the wiring diagram and found the Brown wire in the rear tail light assembly is 12V+. I put a positap on it, and then used a multimeter to test the voltage, red to the positap, black to the chassis. The connector sparked and the dash lights and rear tail light went out. I then replaced all the fuses and the bike still won't give me any sign of life. Any ideas what I blew? I was thinking maybe the relay next to the fuse box, or the 30A, but from what I know both don't have much effect on the lights.

The 30A breaker feeds *everything* except starter.

    Push to reset.

I forgot to mention it's a 98 600. I was under a presumption the 98 didn't have a master breaker and the 30A was only for the starter?

Hahahha, that'll teach me to make presumptions. The 30A was blown

        Cheers Steveb!
