Ok just got some reflective striping from progrips today. Looks pretty straight forward how to put them on, ill post pics before, after and just through the whole process for people that want to try them and don't know how hard its gonna be or how it'll look.

hopefully it comes with an applicator. Mine, in my sig, were already cut in 4 piece sections so the install was pretty good. Wifey was able to put hers on better than i so i hope you have a steady hand. I think they look nice.Godspeed

I bought non-sectional 3M Black reflective wheelstripes from Tapeworks.com.
Mine came with 5 6mm stripes capable of doing a single 22"rim each.
I used 4, had one left over.... so i put it on the helmet around the bottom...
during the day , it almost perfectly matches the post98 rim "black" color.
at night, in bright light, it looks like this:

ok first off i would recommend cleaning your wheel with rubbing alcohol like the table said, used it and it worked great.
i bought the pro grip brand from my local shop for $12
youll need to insert the strip where it says enter with the color side toward the tab
then split it and wrap the sticky side around the applicator where the tab is...
then while holding the sticky side with your finger press it on the wheel and push it around the wheel while holding slight pressure, not to much it will rip!!! remember to follow behind the applicator with another finger so it sticks well.
just let it hang while you roll the motorcycle to getr to the rest of the wheel, after getting it around the whole side take and press on it to make sure its on well. i took a knife and carefully cut after the side was done and it slightly overlapped. id let it sit for a couple days before getting it wet or anything. heres the finished product on mine...
now the blue doesnt look like the exact blue when its reflecting but during the day it does. (i dont care at night i just wanna be seen!!!)Last edited by overboost07; 11-13-2009, 07:11 AM.sigpic
