Between these two brands I would agree to stay away from colorite. I have done many projects with duplicolor paints with great results. Just get a good clear cus in my opinion there clearcoats can use some improvement

Color Rite was not great for my 06. May have been the 3 stage paint too.

It's odd that so many people have had problems with color-rite. They are the OEM provider of paints for Suzuki.

I had no problems with Color-rite and would use them again in my experience.

Its not that the color-rite is all that bad of a paint but for the price of it I'll pass. My bike is a 3 stage candy grand blue and I priced doing it two ways. I can paint it in House of Kolor paints for less than half the price and feel there paints and bases are far nicer. Now if your wanting to do a color match to factory paint color that might be the way you want to go but at nearly $200 per quart is too rich for my blood.

Have to agree and stick up for my supplier.I've used their colors since the laquer days with not one single complaint. From a shops point of view, color rite is the only way to go if matching to existing finishes.I do most of the progressive ins work in my area along with individuals and other ins. With color rite you have no time in quessing, toning, doing sprayouts.Spray it, polish, out the door= $.If doing an overall or custom, will use other systems unless customer specifies CR.
Color rite has 2 price lists, public/shop.

Please explain why a colorite paint wouldn't cure and started to seperate? That was the experience mreed had! It wasn't just the paint, it was all the way down into the primer coat.

I'm pretty sure that Rob and Teddy thought the paint had someone been frozen or exposed to extreme temperatures somewhere in the handling process.

That was what we all were thinking but it isn't actually the paint as much as it could be the one thing that gets used in all the coats, primer, base and clear.

I do agree with that if your trying to match up a factory paint scheme. Too much work if you try to fudge it with other products and the results can be close but never perfect
