  • can't get the goo under decals off

Hey guys, I've read all the threads about removing decals and still can't accomplish my mission. I'm ready to patch up a scrape in the side of my bike, except I can't get off the adhesive left behind by the decals. I think the hair dryer might have made it stick on even harder... I've tried goo gone, acetone, a hair dryer, rubbing, scraping, everything. What should I do?

I just finished using one of those rubber wheels (sometimes called "decal erasers").

It does just that, erases the decal. Ate through them like nothing! Any body supply store should carry something similar. (even some auto parts stores I think).

      Have you tried WD40?
I used it and it went well, didn't damage the paint.
Use an old sock as a glove to scrub off the glue.

Also if this doesn't work, I've used with success Chain Cleaner (Kerosene)
on some plastics to remove chain goo and it didn't seam to have any harmful effect.
However, I never tried it on the painted side of the fairings so take that
suggestion with a grain of salt.
