How about an OEM looking DIY unit.

                    Acumen is another one.

That same location Astro used is void of any idiot lights. I wondered what could go in that spot, now I know.

Not to steal your thunder or anything Astro, but I believe that MrClean (a member from the old KP site?) did that same thing and made a write up about how to do it. It was on the motorcycleanchor site for a while. It wasn't very in depth as far as a write up goes, but it did the trick and had pictures. I planned on doing the same and making a more in depth write up myself, but if you are going to do it first, by all means

Yep, I have seen it and it got me rolling on the idea.
Which reminds me I must thank Mr. Clean and trinc for their ideas and designs with which I based my final product.
A couple of useful threads on the subject.

Pic of Mr Cleans on second page.
Can't get it to run right? Find a trick to add HP?
From the first oil change to completely rebuilding the engine,
this is the place to talk about the heart of the beast!

                        trinc's schematic on page three.

                            Hey Astro,
Not to bring up a little war between them but I assume you used Trinc's schematic. I got the instructions from MrClean originaly but didn't have Trinc's set up. If it worked for you than I would probably use it......
Unless there of course you do a write up on how to do it yourself.

OK here's the skinny guys. I used Trinc's circuit and added in pin #4 on the LS148 with a diode in the wire I tied into the neutral light circuit. I'm still playing with the diode because what I had on hand had too much of a voltage drop across it which caused the "0" to be dimmer than the rest of the numbers. The "6" is kind of wacky as it doesn't have a top on it so it actually looks like a "b", I've done a little bit of research into this and it looks like I'll have to come up with another circuit (common cathode) to fix the "6" issue.
LED part # LTS-5501AB - Blue 7 segement LED - use any colour you want as long as it common anode.
From what I can figure Suzuki neutral switch part # 37720-45100 will fit the post Kats and has all the contact pins in place so you don't have to make your own. I have yet to verify this so order at your own risk.
Since my circuit board is under my gauge cluster, I put the LED current limiting resistors on the circuit board instead of inline with the wiring for the LED.
I didn't use any fancy connectors and just hard wired (soldered) everything together this go around to get it done. When time permits I'll verify the OEM neutral switch and source some connectors for the added wiring.
Altogether I have $20 or $30 into it. If ya fancy it up with weather pack connectors etc, the price will be higher.
