  • So what does everybody have planned for their bikes?

I'm going to ride tomorrow....but it looks like the season here in VA is on it's way out.

Here's what I have lined for the Kat this Winter:

    - New paint job
    - Chop rear fender, install new plate mount and rear turn signals
    - New EBC rear rotor
    - Rebuild rear caliper
    - New EBC rear pads
    - Flush and fill on brakes w/ speedbleeder
    - Install Busa LH controls and GSXR RH controls and throttle tube
    - Install longer fork spacers
    - Bandit 1200 Rear Shock
    - Fix stripped cam cap
    - Install new headgasket
    - Install 98+ oil pan, pick up
    - Install 98+ header + Scorpion exhaust
    - Stainless front brake lines
    - New Z6s' front and rear
    - Rebuild my extra carb rack and install on the bike

So yeah I've got a few things planned LOL

Sleep till ? Then go for a cruise. Still waiting for my title but gunna ride without it. When the snow falls it's time to strip the bike and repaint stuff.

i haven't got too much planned really. I need a new set of rubber for the busa. The Kat is good to go. I will mainly be tinkering away at the wifes FZR:

        install lowering links
        change 1 engine cover
possibly repair/replace a bit of plastic

        thats about it really.

I plan to keep riding mine. It still gets cold in MS, but I'm originally from Illinois so I'm not worried about it.

I plan on installing a 98+ exhaust system, changing the oil, painting the fork lowers and swingarm black, and adding some new stickers if teddy is still making them.

                I got a list somewhere ......
But I ain't got much money , so what I end up doing over the winter depends on what I got to play with . I'd LIKE to finally fix my plastics that have been mangled for about 5 years .

                    Replace cam-chain tensioner spring

                      Hmmm, lets see...

Get the machine shop up and runnign at 100%

Machine the caliper adaptors for fitting the brembos to my 82 Katana

Finish machining the last few rear axle spacers for the 82 Katana

Finishing engineering/machining the last few bits on the rear SSSA on my Slingshot GSXR project

Start on aftermarket parts development for the post 98 kats

Start on producing new cowls for the pre 98 600's

I think i am going to try and do:
                        • hel brake lines
                        • twin yoshi carbon slip ons
                        • power commander
                        • paint my hugger as the same color as the rest of my bike
                        • fender elminator
                        • purchase some z6's
                        • angled valve stems
                        • tank protection
                        • turn signals
                        • PAIR valve elimination
                        • Flapper mod
if i can get to one of those i'll be happy.

Took that ride today. Used my nephew's 01 gixxer 600. It was KOOL and COLD! 1 1/2 hours in high 30's to low 40's between 40 and 70 mph at 9:30 am was enough for me.

Just ride the Kat as much as possible when there is no snow on the roads!

                              Fumoto oil bolt replacement
                              locate pre 98 600/750 centerstand
                              ignition advancer
                              brake bleed and install speedbleeders
look into fashioning my own cowl for the rear seat
                              replace all the fairing bolts
                              rebuild petcock
                              replace mirrors

Yeah, all that would probably take most of you guys a day, but I'm not a wrench head so this should be interesting.
