So I was going to order the petcock rebuild kit off of ebay, but they only have the kits for the years 88-97. Will this work on my 1998 katana? Has anyone tried it? Since my petcock is leaking out of the knob end of the petcock I believe I need to replace the diaphram...is that all? If anyone can help I would appreciate it....and why dont they have 98+ rebuild kits anywhere???

No one manufactures a 98+ rebuild kit. The pre-98 rebuild kit has parts that can be used to replace a damaged diaphram, but you can't use all the parts. I carry them for $21.75 delivered in the USA (rest of world, add $1).
