Key flap, gas cap help

Somehow the flap on the gas cap that covers the key has come off. I can't get the pin back in.

Any suggestions?

Uh , screw it ?

You'll have to take it apart and do it from the inside. Not hard but there are lots of little springs in there that like to fly so work slowly when pulling it apart.
