  • Bogging at 8k RPM

Well I got the carbs rebuilt and the valves adjusted. Bike starts up and idles fine with no choke and the power in the mid range is better.

Unfortunately when I'm on the highway the bike seems to run outta power around 8k when WOT. I've tried pulling the choke out but it doesn't help. Any ideas?

OEM fuel filter and nonOEM air filter. I'm guessing a vacuum leak?

What air filters are you using. PODs?

Main jet fell out in #3.... I thought I had cranked them down hard enough but was wrong. So I guess the bike runs with a jet in the floatbowl.

Everything works great now. Still have nonOEM filter.

Which filter? K&N or other hi-flow filters do not deliver best results. Lean out the bike too much. Emgo or other OEM type filters should be fine.
