when long distance riding, it's important to stay hydrated. it's not a comfortable subject, but you can increase the chances of getting kidney stones and/or over heating due to having insufficient water in your system. I suggest getting a camelback hydration system which can easily fit under your full face helmet.
we tend not to drink lots of water when we ride because getting to it is inconvenient, and it's a PITA to take on and off gear, and riding in the heat or wind exacerbates water loss.
drink more than you.need.
