What?
The bikes don't look anywhere near the same with the single exception of using the same tail light lens.
Or are you talking abut the engines alone with a massive difference in HP output?

I think he means the original "classic" Katanas from the early 80's. The 750 had a neat pop-up headlight if I remember correctly.

Colin.
Ah, didn't look as closely to the forum (new threads search)...
The engine difference still stands though... pretty big difference even then.

The 1100 is almost certainly much more of a high velocity missile than the 750, it'd be a much more relaxing ride too with the extra torque on hand - I suppose it comes down to your own personal riding habits... want to go fast = 1100, want to go a long tour with passenger, luggage etc = 1100, works for me

Possible future owner here doing some research and asking newbie questions. I hadn't thought about getting a 750 before but looking at some pictures I figured I'd explore the idea. I have plenty of other bikes that go fast so I'm wondering where would I miss the extra 350cc?

Many many years ago I had a GS650GTD shaft drive, I still rate it as one of the best most dependable bikes I have ever had. I clocked up 30,000 miles two up over a few years and many more after that one up. I dont suppose it had more than 50hp but it never seemed under powered. With that in mind I would think a 750 should do the two up thing with ease.sigpic
