Nice CB! Are those F2 or F3 rims?

F2 front, F3 rear. F3 fronts don't have speedo drives so the F2 fronts are an easier swap. They're pretty much a bolt on to the CB750F, CB900F and CB1100F.

Having done the 17 inch wheel, radial swap and knowing how much it improves the handling, it was hard work staying with the stock wheels on the Katana.

            Start thread hi-jack now!
I'm starting work on a clients vintage kat in a couple weeks. He wanted to take some cues from the 1135r Yoshi kat so we're going with right way up Bandit 1250 forks and while we're switching to 17" 5 spoke rims, the bandit forks are going to allow me to take a stock vintage kat fender, widen it out to fit the new wheel/rubber, and mount it in a stock fashion that looks correct to the original kats. Should be very subtle but very slick.

I'll be interested to see how the front fender works out. I quite often see later model wheel swaps that include later style fenders and while some work OK, I seen a few where the fender just looks out of place with the rest of the bodywork. On that blue CB900F I pictured I went with a stock CB1100F front fender (18 inch), and simply redrilled it to lower it half an inch. I'm a sucker for stock (and mint) bodywork.
