yes....I would say it iss a bit fruity if I was painting it for a male.....but the bike is going to be ridden by a female who chose the color. But one you see it in real life, it is actually kinda sharp. It will be original for sure.
In fact....I am sort of considering it for the 82 kat 1100.
silver, black, and that blue kinda go real good together.
and you can bet your arse it's going to shine. 2 coats of clear....then watersanded with 1600...then a 3rd coat of clear.

it is when all goes fine. I learned ANOTHER valauable lesson. DO NOT USE A TACK RAG!!!!!
I painted the 2 lowers, the tank and the nose last night...and used a tack rag before clearing, and ended up with fish-eyes up the ass. So I spent all day sanding those out to repaint.
This paint job has been jinxed from the moment I started it. But in the end, all will be fine.

A lint free cloth and a light dabbing of dirt&grease remover always worked like a charm for me. did the tack cloth leave some chemical residue? or did it just push the dirt into the paint?

the tack rags have some kind of sticky substance on them that picks up dust. you are not supposed to put any pressure on them, which I didn't. you are just supposed to let the weight of the rag do it's job...which I did. My dad told me before that they are crap and can scrap a paint job....and I never use them...but this time I did, thinking they might have improved on them over the years. but I guess not. Never again.

I always thought you only used a tack rag before painting -- before the primer and before the base coat (after sanding the primer), never later... then rinse with alcohol or keytone or some such after the tack rag

                            Cheers,
