    I post a question on the Gearn section, but I am not getting any responses. Because we have more traffice here, I would appreciate it if someone who wear leather suits to comment on my question.

    Yes keep the size 40. Because you may put on more weight or muscle mass. Also get a back protector and that will take up some of the slack up top. I know we had a deal on here for one that ran about $75. I fyou stay with the 38 then you might out grow it and wish you had the 40. Keep the 40 as long as it is not wayyyyyy to loose.

      Go find yourself a leather shop that does alterations and get the excess taken up if it's quite loose... I'm about to get the same thing done with some leather riding pants that are loose-to-perfect about the waist (depending on how much I tighten up the gathers), but way too long in length (and knee/puck placement is wrong because of the length too).
