blown motor in an 05 1k gsxr. Gotta love it.

Well my poor motor made it a good hard 2 years and a month. to the day. lol But she died. I blew something in the bottom end. Ive got the motor out and the head off. The top end looks fine. and i blew a oil seal out of the front of the block after the thing went pop and started rat tat tat ing. So i guess its dead. ill miss her. lol.

Ive allready baught another stock motor. Ill transplant my head on the new bottom end cus ive got a lot of head work and cams i dont want to give up. I guess i now have a bottom end to start building a stroker motor with.

Ill get pics of the inside of the motor and post it up soon enough.

I guess 40k miles and around 1500 drag passes will kill the bottom end before the tranny ever thinks about dieing.

Kinda wishing you had taken that Suzuki 4 year extended warrantee for the extra $400 now?

Glad it didn't go out on you in a way that was catastrophic or dangerous... Seized engines at high speeds suck.

Sorta. im betting they wouldnt cover it due to the drag raceing. and i couldnt hide that from them. no biggie. i expected it to die this year. I just was hopeing for a little longer.

Pretty sure the original post sed what killed it. High mialage and a crap load of drag abuse. It sux but i expected it so i cant really complain.
