Default Fork Info

Hello all. I have been doing a lot of reading here tiring to find out if there are any interchangeable shocks for my 1997 600. I found a ton of really good info but could someone give me a idea of what USD forks would work on my 600. Any info would be great. Thanks

The same year? Or will mine work ok if i rebuild them. The reason why im asking is mine are rusty and pitted on the chrome and pitted real bad on the aluminum. Almost like they were dipped in salt water. Anyway just looking to fix it, or replace. Not sure what the best option is.

Swapping USD forks from a GSXR, year range is going to be 90-92 ish if I remember right, will mean also swapping the rest of the front end. Forks, triples, Wheel, brakes, fender, so on...

You can source replacement forks tubes for your bike. New uppers run ya probably around $400. Used for rebuild probably in the $200 range.

All options would need minimal rebuild (seals and oil) and highly probable you would want to respring them too. New springs run in the $125 range. If you stick with OEM kat forks, consider the Gold valve emulators. They are truly worth it.
