  • Is it hard to repaint a Kat?

Looking at a 2002 Kat 600 that is mostly yellow with silver/gray on the lower part of the fairing. If I purchase it is it hard to repaint profesionally or DIY the majority of the plastics except maybe the silver/gray part?

Depends on how you plan to paint. If you're wanting to use a sprayer, I don't see where there would be any problem at all. Using rattle cans just wears your fingers out a little faster.

Look under the How-To forum. There is a post with a guide to rattle-canning by SweetLou. It works wonders.

SweetLou's guide is the bible, effectively.

As with all painting, what you'll get out of it is based solely on the amount & degree of prep-work you put into it. For something simple like the belly-pan, a bed-lining paint may be the trick for you if you're not skilled at painting...

all I have to say is that if you have to ask that question, then you will definately find it hard.
And I don't mean that as sarcasm. Honestly.
I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
