  • New guy, been reading.

Just wanted to say hello to all the people on here that have really helped y decision making for the last couple of months. You guys have some great information, and anytime I need to figure something out about my kat, I check here first.
I picked up in early spring an 01 Kat 750 completely stock... but that is about to change thanks to all of the wonderful info I have found on here.

I've got the Ivan's Jet kit.
              The Bandit 1200 headers.
              Slip on.
And the 89 gsxr cam swap.

That's the performance stuff. However it will be about a month b4 I get to install it. School (nursing) is killing me right now.
And I just put on a set of conti sport attacks.

And the cosmetics will be changed. I'm thinking fender b gone,
              Frame sliders
              A chrome like appearance
All black lettering with glow in the dark lettering at night.. ..

I'm not sure how that last part is gonna work out.
But it all sounds like a lot of fun.

I may swap my tail for an 03 -06 look, but that's just a rainy day thing.
But I'd like to pick up a solo seat cowel.
              And removable storage trunck.

I'm new to the forums guys and do not really know how to start a new thread or what not. I own a 1988 Katana 600. It is currently not running, believed to be a CDI issue. It will turn over and will he a good initial spark but after the first revolution of the engine it will not spark anymore. Any info will be helpful and if you have a CDI could you please let me know. Ignition Pickup needs to be checked and inspected..before you buy a CDI.
