  • Fork oil level

Ok so I'm rebuilding my forks and I'm at the part where I need to add fluid, but my forks are the sealed top kind where it's just a plate on top, no threads! And the manual only explaines the other type, aka the adjustable one. The cap does have a place to stick a screwdriver and pop it off? But there's spring pressure so it will go flying right?

You'll need a pick to remove the ring retaining the cap. Those are older forks, like 88-89. Push down on the retainer and pry out the clip gently. Gently release the pressure on the cap, it can shoot off somewhere.
