13 Year old son and his 88 Kat...

So 3 weeks ago we started on the 88 600F and pulled the carbs... Today the 13 yr old kid pulled the exhaust, plugs, drained the oil, pulled off the filter, AND pulled all of the covers off the engine as well as the oil pan! What a champ! there was metal in the pan... I think that's bad... a few chunks about the size of a BB. So, next we are going to pull the engine and check out the pistons. Any suggestions before we do that???
