  • January in California

Went for a nice little ride yesterday. Was about 60 degrees and not a single cop anywhere......

I am loving Colorado but I do miss the So Cal days of maybe I will take raingear. We get some odd days out here so the bike is not put away all winter. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 60 so I will try to get out. The only problem is snow yesterday and high of 34 today and then high of 28 on Saturday so just have to be careful of remaining ice on the 60 degree day.

Monday we are expecting a HIGH of -12 and a low around -20. They say it's been 20 years since it's been this cold.

Ho lee shit that's cold. Hope your home has good insulation!

I'm commuting on the Kat to work every day, ~100 miles. So far I've only had to deal with it getting down to 34. Only thing getting cold is the very tips of my fingers.

Planning on putting on about 200 miles Sunday, it'll be my first non commute ride in probably 3 months. I'm definitely loving how the CA climate enables year round riding. I'd go nuts if I had to do my commute every day in a cage.

Just got home, it's was -19C or -1F out without the windchill.

Enjoy your" winter" rides . Seriously thanks for sharing, it's good that at least some of us are still out riding.
