looks nice man! what year is ur kat? i was thinking of changing my ass at one time, but i was'nt sure what was interchangible. did you have to change out ur subframe to make that fit? do you know if da gixxer ass end is a direct bolt on to a 05 kat 600cc?

That's really nice. Make sure to post pics of the finished product. Personally, I woulda bought a new bike before going through all that trouble

Nothing bolts on at all. Swapping to a different seat and tail fairing pretty much requries cutting some or all of the subframe and welding in new supports or an entire new subframe.

                        Thanks for the comments

Yes as Waltari said you need heavy modifications to get another seat to fit. My sub frame has been completely removed modified struts added and re welded. Not an easy task but not that hard. The hardest part is gritting your teeth and hacking inot a perfectly good bike.

Worth it though. Once the weather clears I will pop it outside and get pics. Waiting for the rear pad to turn up via ebay. All up not including my time it has cost less than 500 dollars for this particular mod. Its going to get a nice coat of ducati yellow when I have finished.

Interesting and different... good work (I think -- brightness in the pics means I can't really see the merge at the front). Cool beans!

                          Cheers,
