I have 1990 katana 750 and I was wondering what the 2 black knobs on top of the 2 front shocks is for ? They are labled 1-2-3- and they turn . but what I dont get is there is no piont were the knob stops , you can just keep turning it . I dont know if there bolth equal . What the deal with these things ?

They rotate the valve at the bottom of the fork..
That valve controls the fluid speed as teh fork tries to
compress. So 1 is soft, 2 is med soft, 3 is less soft..
It rotates right around as the valve is round and just comes right back to the 1 setting again.
If you see no difference in the settings you need a
rebuild, thicker oil or maybe preload.
Look through the Rolling stock sections for info
on all three
