Will a 1989 750 katana handle bar riser clamp fit a 2004 600 Katana? Also is it the only part needed to make a 600 a shorter reach?

Pre, post 98-02, and post 03-06 all have different spacing. You can't swap just a couple of parts from one set date range to the other for the triples and clamps.

If you have an 04 kat 600, you need the entire upper triple from an 03-06 750.

Are they hard to find and what do they cost?

If you are looking to shorten the reach a little on a 600 you might want to check out the risers that Matt Braunstein sells

SCR MOTORCYCLES KATANA PRODUCTS. Reasr sets, sprockets, cowls, sliders, brake lines, clutch kits, gas caps.

They raise the bars as much as a 750 set up but you do not have to deal with swapping the triple tree. It is a simple bolt on.
