'88 GSX600F Handle Bars

I am looking to get the bars replaced with something different and have noticed online that the bars are sold as left and right.

Can someone please tell me what the difference is, if any? I can't see it by looking at the bike.

Placement of the notch/hole for the electrical pods that mount on the bars, to prevent them from spinning.
