  • Will a 2001 Katana Stock Exhaust fit on a 2006 Katana 600

I am trying to put the stock muffler back on my 2006 Katana 600. Right now I have a D & D pipe on it. Will a 2001 Stock pipe fit on the 2006?

I have an 05 and I bought a 03 can from a fellow rider. I had to modify the rear (passenger) bracket (on the can) to make it work....I dunno why, but it is different everything else lined up perfectly.

          Exhaust

What did you have to do to modify the rear bracket?

I'll tell you that you'd be better off with the older stock can than a newer (04+) one. In 04 they ditched the clearance notch, and just substituted longer peg feelers. If you are into spirited riding, or track riding, you will enjoy the extra ground clearance. I've almost ground through the weld seam on mine. If you don't get over that far, than don't worry aboot it

I went the other way and put an 05 on my 02. I just took some flat metal and attached it to the rear footpeg bracket and the mounting point on the exhaust.
