![]() theres tons of topics on different oils mainly which I see looking like amsoil synthetic is the best brand. I'm running a 92 katana with a '01 Bandit GSF600S engine.
Also if you don't mind which oil you'd recommend for my bike, and why. thanks |

![]() I'm assuming you said to buy motorcycle specific oil, and are you telling me that motorcycle oil is the same thing as diesel oil? i'm sorry I don't understand what you're getting at.
these are some of the links i've been looking at below, amsoil being $12 a qt seems way to expensive, and some other people just use motorcycle specific oil, I think synthetic seems to be the best option but a bit pricier... I'm unsure if its worth it to spend the extra money or if these advertisements are a bunch of crap. with amsoil for instance "specially formulated to excel in all areas unique to motorcycles, including high engine RPM, wet-clutch lubrication" my engine is right under 10k miles currently... just not sure what the proper decision is to make http://www.riderforums.com/general-b...l-opinion.html http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/07/04...-or-petroleum/ http://lucasoil.com/products/motorcy...otorcycle-oils http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...il/motorcycle/ Last edited by JohnnyPossum; 04-08-2015 at 06:51 PM.. |

![]() +1 the energy saving aspect will make your clutch slip.
I've been using that oil too for the last 40K miles, no issues. About 13 changes so far. (I do every 3k)
