  • Re: 750 slingshot head

Hey guys, what difference would a 750 slingshot head make on a Katana 1100 F?
    Thanks

I don't know, but a good place to start would be to find out the intake & exhaust port diameters...Not just the intake boot size, cause that could be misleading. If you find out that bit of info, be sure to share with the rest of the class.

Piston diameter would also be the info you need, combustion chamber.

I would think that could possibly be over looked as long as the mounting studs align and the valves clear, etc... Then again, I'm no expert. I'm just guessing that it would most likely increase the compression ratio, or at the very least that it could be cut out or modified to work.
EDIT: Wait, I know what your talking about. I'm assuming the combustion chamber is smaller because its a 750cc.

              From what I been reading
,it's direct bolt on and makes more power, nothing about chamber size that I saw, but who knows.
This is from the gixxer site: all can be swaped but cams are different and tooth count on the cma sprockes is different on the 88-89 750 and 750 Katana heads. Valve sizes are smaller on the 750 (except the 88-89 750) and there may be other differences.
