I am finding that it is increasingly hard to find aftermarket parts for my Kat. I was wondering in anyone has been able to fit parts from other bikes onto their kat, Brakes, rims, ect? Has anyone done an engine swap from another bike on their Kat? I was thinking about the engine out of a totaled GSXR or Bussa. I know the motor mounts would have to be welded to fit but the Kat is a big bike and should have the room. I guess my only complaints with my Kat are lack of aftermarket parts and a 5 speed transmission.

I build these engines all the time. You can have 200 RELIABLE horsepower at the rear wheel, no problem at all. Call me at 714-356-7845 if you want help. Ray.

I put 90 GSXR750 front calipers on mine. They bolt right on.It didnt sweep the whole rotor but it stopped a hell of a lot harder.

Nope.Use the existing lines and change only the calipers.I think the early 90's GSXR1100 used the same ones too.I think the 88-92 Nissan calipers are all the same on both the GSXR750 and 1100.Looks way better too.LKike I said no need for spacers or special brackets-they bolt right up.
