Hello everyone!
I just aquired a 1995 Katana for 0$. I had been riding my first bike, a 1982 Yamaha xj650, for almost 2 summers, but wanted to go into something a bit more sporty. I found somebody who didin't had his licence and wanted to trade is Katana for an easier bike to pass his license.
I was shopping around for a new bike for a while. I really like those small naked bikes like the Gladius or the ER6n, but before investing some big money, I want to ride a sport touring for a couple of summer to see if I like the bent driving position.
I actually really like the Katana and am more and more thinking about investing on that bike, maybe give it a naked look. I already ordered the black seats for around 80$.
It's been 2 weeks and I already drained the battery (damn that park switch...). Other than that, the bike runs really well. It as quite a lot of milleage on it (90 000 km or around 53k miles), but feels way more solid than a lot of bikes I tried. The old owner put 91 octane in it, but since joining the forum, I read I should put lower octane in it, I'll do that.
The bike as been droped, little scratches on the fairing. The purple "flames" had been removed, but the job isnt really clean.
Anyway, any suggestions on how to remove the stickiness left from the stickers would be appreciated.
Thanks for your welcome and have a nice day!
