  • Looking to improve looks

I respect everyone's opinions on here, as you all seem to have very insightful and well thought out posts, it's truly an honor to be a part of such a great group of fellow riders! You are all making my first biking experience extra special/safe/memorable..

That being said, I'd like to see what you think I can do to improve the looks of the bike.. I bought this about 2 months ago , and this is how she looks now.

She looks very nice to me as she is... As it is, improving "looks" instead of improving some specific aspect of performance (handling, braking, acceleration, touring capabilities, etc.) is a very individual thing and depends highly on your personal tastes.

Some of the more common "improvements" are:
chrome plating of metal parts and/or polishing to bare metal
installation of mesh screening in the fairing openings
    custom decal or air-brush work
    tinted windshields
    custom paint job
    custom seat covers & cowlings

Personally, I would advise you to focus on performance modifications first instead, which should yield a bigger bang for the buck than just "wow" factor... but that's just me.

    Cheers,

Paint the lower to match the upper . Paint that chromy-plastic thing while you're at it . Smoke turn signals perhaps .

i think the clearalternative lenses would be a very nice addy on your bike! as you can see, i like my bike to have similar tones on it. solo cowl would make it xtra sporty too......beyond that +1 on what cyber said interms of performance adds, exhaust, jetkit, advancer.....yadda, yadda yadda, list can get so long so quickly

also smoke screen on blacks are nice too
Ray - Thank you, may I have another?

I would agree with the smoke wind screen and signal lenses, and seat cowl. Braided S/S brake lines.

This is where I would start.

P.S. That's a nice looking Kat you have there!

I've heard that before -- that pre-98 bodywork strapped to the outside of the 98+ models make good frame sliders... I've just never been willing to test it. Maybe Jason would test it for us?

Get rid of the ebay stickers and get smaller emblems like these...oh, and add lots of chrome thingies.

Sitting on it and riding it through some corners is the best way to improve looks. At that point, they are looking at your style, not necessarily the bike. Whick I think is better.

Kidding aside, the bike looks great as is.
