Default Clutch basket, part help.

Hey guys, I'm new here so not sure if this is the right place to post this if not please relocate. I recently bought a 93 Katana gsxf 750 and the clutch basket is worn so I wanted to buy a new one but can't find any online that are not used and that's mainly on ebay. I really don't want to pay 500 for a new basket from a dealer so does anyone know where to find a new preferably aftermarket one online?

Can you post a pic? Might be able to tell if it's salvageable.

Unhappy

I wish I could, I don't even know what it looks like myself. This is my first bike so (in my horror thoughts of messing it up) I sent it to a bike mechanic that some buddies of mine told me about to look everything over and put some new parts on it for me and he told me the clutch basket is worn out and that's also what is causing the loud rattle when the clutch is engaged vs disengage. I just told him to put it back on because I didn't wanna buy the new one from the dealer but then I found out if it explodes it will destroy my engine....if it helps at all the bike has 25k miles on it.

That’s not high mileage at all. Grooves will form on the basket, you just need to smooth them back out. Groves will not cause noise issues, bearing and broken plates will.

Thanks junker, I asked my mech to take it back out smooth it and put a new clutch kit in it. Hopefully that fixes everything.
