    Yes it is a Katana, the best one IMHO!

      It would appear to be, Probably the best definition of the Katana, now that would be a bike worth having .

          No not a Kat.. That is Motorcycle Hall of Fame Member Wes Cooley on his GS1000..
          Suzuki released a WCR..
          Here is the early race bike..

          Just noticed the photo is captioned!
          GS750 I guess.

            I noticed the caption right after I posted it too. But I thought that the model name of the Katana was GSX
            and the GS

            And after looking around for a little while, it appears to me that the frames are almost identical between the GS the early Katanas... is that true?

              I wouldn't doubt the frames are the same, after all the seventies gave us the UJM.
              In 84 (when that photo was taken) Cooley was on "special" contract with Yoshi.
              So that might be a GS 750 with some GSX bodywork.
