white smoke

  • white smoke

    finally got my bike started. white smoke. does this indicate any problems. the bike hasn't been started in almost two years and i also had gas in the oil.

    I'm definately not an expert, but from what I understand:
    White smoke = water in the system
    Blue smoke = oil in the system
    Black smoke = too-rich mixture
    If it was just a little white smoke just after starting, I don't think there's anything to worry about, but like I said, I'm far from an expert. If the bike is warm and then you get white smoke I think that's an indication of a problem.

      is it a consistant white smoke even if you ride it?
