  • Bog in throttle just at take off

I have a 2006 suzuki kat 600. so far i have about 10700kms. what i have done is yoshimura rs3 slip on pipe, k and n air filter (stock replacement) with the big rubbber ring not the small one. dyno jet stage 1 jet kit with stock springs and jet sizes 120s and am using dyno jet needles. fuel mixture is at 3 turns out. and the bike has been carb synced. The problem i have is when i let the clutch out and give it throttle, the bike bogs and then i have to either wait or just pull the clutch in to get the rpms up to avoid the bog. Does anyone know what i should do?

Not enough fuel. Go larger on the main fuel jets. I'm going to warn you, it's going to suck fuel much faster with larger main jets.

I have tried to leanout the mixture screws to 2.5 turns and after the carb sync, the bike ran crappy. what about changing the jets to 116?

You have the same problem I had with my 93. I went larger mains and my problem went away. If you want it to run right go back to stock, air filter and all stock carb parts.

It's a dyno jet kit they all do that until corrected.

First remove that big rubber snout and put the smaller one on.

Put the needle at 2.5 on clip height.

            Put 116 mains in it.

Turn A/F screws to 3 1/4 out from seated position.

Let me know how that works for ya.

I would go bigger mains but the biggest size i got was 120s and thats what i put in based on the install sheet. i thought about putting the stock needles back in because i heard that will fix the problem. i had the dynojet springs in today and i put the stock one back in and i had alot more torque and power but i still had a slight bog on takoff and thats it. no problems throughout the rest of the gears.

Third clip slot down from the top of the needle and 2.5 on the a/f screws. Keep your factory springs. Follow the directions to a tee. Or go to DJ's web site. Take two aspirin and call us in the morning. Good luck.

You might want to rid yourself of the K&N, and try again. You know what Arsenic says about K&N.

I disagree with katanafreak93 on sticking to the directions, If you do that it will not run right.

Just try my suggestions and tell me if I am screwed up.

Well ..... you have to start somewhere. Put the stock springs back in. You don't have to use them just because they are in the kit.
