    Hi all,

I have a 96' 600 that I just picked up from an old buddy of mine that sat for 8 years. I haven't had a chance to work on it yet but I already peeked at the tank and its rusted inside. My last ride was a Ninja 900 I miss riding haven't been on a bike in 3 or 4 years. Hope I can get this Kat going.

Welcome to Katriders.... FYI 96-97 are unique to their own. The hand controls, CDI, Sidestand switch, loom and a few other things are 96-97 only. Mechanicals are all the same.

Welcome! por 15 works great for removing rust and lining the tank. You'll likely need to clean the carbs too. In the wiki, there's a how to, carbs 101 (102 is for 98+ Kats)
      1998 Katana 750
      1992 Katana 1100
      2006 Ninja 250

      2006 Katana 600 RIP - 130k miles
