Just got a set of these tires 150/80/16 rear
and 120/80/16 fronts what a difference these make.
They ride over tar snakes like their not even there, still scrubbing them in
    and loving every mile.
The manufacture date is 10/2014 on the tires.

The Sport Demons are probably one of the best cross ply tyres around, but there are better tyres out there if you can find them in those sizes.

That does suck. Had a quick look out of curiosity. There are a few other brands, including Michelin, but they all seem to be bias ply. In that case, the SDs are probably a pretty good choice, and infitely better than the Banglop and Bridgerock offerings.

Ya I've been keeping my old ones to compare and the Dunlop's 501
I had just wore flat like a car tire. The bt45's were all over the place
and didn't like the tar snakes & you just couldn't stay in the middle of the road.

I had the Sport Demons YEARS ago . Loved 'em . Then got the Diablo Stradas . Loved them MORE . But there are worse tires out there .

I have the Avon road riders on my 82 GS 1100E. I have the 140/8017 on the rear and it seems an inch narrower than the same size Bridgestone BT45. It's a good wearing tire. I feel like the Avon doesn't have the grip that the BT 45s did. Good for burnouts and sliding the rear around corners but bad for cornering.

I jusf finished a set of Sport Demon. Avarage good tires, but terrible when 3/4 worn out.
