  • Sunday Afternoon Tour

Wife asked if I wanted to go for a ride this afternoon. Duh!
Had time to actually plan a route while she got a shower. I programmed the route into my GPS so I won't get lost:

Route should be good for ~90 minutes.

Don't care that it's 90+ out. Time to put some miles behind me!

It mostly worked, i missed one turn out in the country and ended up covering about 10 miles on gravel

        Good times!

Hahaha I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that!

I might have been better off -- at least then I could have erased my spelling errors instead of re-writing over top!

And yes, I am a grown man that has handwriting like a young child. I blame early forced adoption of longhand (2nd/3rd grade), and subsequently note-taking in college to ruin what penmanship in longhand I had.

Then I blame the internet for making it more important that I know how to type fast!

Don't feel bad. I've always had horrible handwriting skills. I finally figured out why. I know that if I try, I can write clearly. However, it doesn't last long. What is happening is that my mind is thinking two sentences ahead of where I am in writing so my hand tries to catch up. That causes sloppiness. The only cure I found was typing. I take all of my notes typing on a lap top or PC. Learning how to type also seems to improve spelling skills over time.
