Default Picked up a new bike over the weekend.

I picked up a new addition to the garage, this weekend. Went to Canada to purchase and pick-up. First time with US Customs bringing a bike in, not a bad experience, took about an hour. Got some initial clean-up done, put on my Corbin seat (came with the original seat). Mostly original down the the exhaust and airbox. Bike runs very well. should be a good bike.

Very nice. I've always liked those. I think I'll try to find one some day. What are they like to ride? I've always imagined them to be decent long-distance bikes if they're set up right.

Thanks. I've been looking for the right one for a year or two. It's a comfortable bike to ride, although I haven't put many miles on it, yet. I originally thought to make it into some kind of a medium distance touring bike. Set-up is the key, once I get some more miles on it, I should know what it will need.

I had a 1985 GS550ES once, was a blast to ride and best bikes I have owned.

Also had a gs1100E once, bought it as a project, never got to ride it. Sold it before I could finish it.

Nice. Too bad about the 1100E, great bikes...

First bike I had was an '83 GX750ES. I couldn't believe how quick that thing was. You got a good looking bike there!

Thanks. The 750ES is a nice bike, too. I almost bought one for my son a couple of years back. He went for a CB750 Nighthawk, instead, much more laid-back ride.

My friend and I took our wives out for a motorcycle date, this weekend. Love those Suzukis...
