I only get about 4k out of a rear on either of my bikes. Actually 4k is good for the ZX-14, i have gotten as little as 2700 miles on the rear.

Instead I spend an hour on the highway each way. During the nightly monsoonal weather during Feb I went on the highway for about 3 weeks straight. Noticed the sudden wearing of my tyres straight away. The seemed to be much happier when they were going around the twisties.R.I.P. Marc

My twisties are littered with leaves on a good day. On a rainy day (or after a stormy night) it's covered with leaves and sticks and sometimes branches. The road just isn't wet, it's slimy.
The Z6's are good. Very good. But not that good.

I wish we had more twisties around here... I ride 25 mile commutes on my Z6's, all on straight Oklahoma highway. I hate it. If I want to ride curves I have to go looking for them.Originally posted by katanawarriorI keep coming here because of the smileys, really.
