    Ok kids, I am restoring a 89 750 Katana California Model. alot of members say im gonna waste my time throwing the California Equiptment back on the Kat. I am doing a total restore

        I agree with these guys. I am not familiar with the CA equipment, but if it is anything that will add weight or rob you of hp, then all the more reason to leave it off.
        I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

              IMHO: There is no reason to re-equip it with California pollution control equipment. All that does in practical terms is increase the potential pitfalls in diagnosing problems and adds a layer of complexity to an otherwise very simple bike.

                  Yeah , even if you're doing a resto , I HIGHLY doubt that making it 100% original would do anything to effect your resale value , which seems to be why most people opt to do that crap anyway . Just extra crap that can cause problems . Justmake sure you do it right , or you'll be wondering whay it ain't running right : . I did one myself .
