  • Performance stuff for a 89 600

I have a 1989 Kat 600 and frankly, I'm having a devil of a time finding anything performance-wise for it
    anyone know of anything?
I'm thinkin I would probebly just be better off switching bikes
either to a SS or more likely a B-12 or ZRX-12
I LOVE their powerbands, hate the SS powerband
not that this bike isn't fast enough, I can go from 0 to speeding faster than I can count to 3 (which takes awhile sometimes...)
BUT, faster is always better, right?

Depends what you are trying to do on this bike...if you want speed then maybe you should be looking at a SS or larger series bike...if you are looking for stunting...wrong bike...look at a lighter bike you can trash...

The Kat is a sport/tourer which means it is sporty looking but made for touring...it is a street bike that is made for comfort and has a kick to it...you are not likely to find "performance" parts for it because it's not "trendy" enough for that...not to say you can't do some extreme mods...just look around this site and you can see what people have done...but it seems that you are not looking for this type of bike...best bet...I guess...trade it in and get something else...

      yeah
I'm not looking to stunt specifically
but I want it to come up easily, it's just fun
I don't want a SS, I want a SS top end, a twin low end and a comfortable seating position
      .....
ok, that may not happen, but I'm thinking the B-12 is the closest I'll get

Sprocket changes, carb jetting, and a full exhaust system would prolly do you good.

Or just get the B-12, and ride like a bat outa hell
