I found a clutch assembly on ebay for 100.00(good source). my mechanic showed me the damage and called it a clutch basket. I would like to purchase my own part and have it installed.

Yeah, I used to have a '98 Kat 600. I loved it but the TLS just stole my heart. Now I'm having an affair with the DR-Z. Shhhh...keep it quiet.
If you lend somebody $20 and you never see them again, it was probably worth it. -
Item #5599641364 is what you need, actually more than you need but it's a good price for all that IMO. The basket is only one piece of that assembly.Dave
