Gas Cap

Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2002 750 for a steal. This bike has sat for a long time and I am in the middle of clean out the tank. I took the gas cap lock apart to clean it up and some parts came out. One of the parts that came out was a ball bearing and it looks like it maybe part of a venting system. I'm not sure if the ball bearing goes into the square hole or the round hole in the lock. I've tried to look up a diagram of this assembley but I can not seem to find it. Can someone please tell me were this ball bearing goes?

yikes......... you may try putting it together one way and seee if it works if it doesnt take it apart again and put it in the other way . geez, thats a tough one

There's a small bearing that holds the little flap(key hole cover)i open/closed. It could be it.
