Nope... I don't think of it as a beginner-level mod (which generally all the mods I have listed publically are), and I'm not utterly convinced that there is always a benefit to the 5 degree advancer mod for all riders (i.e. - all weather types and for extreme long-range riding). I haven't advanced the timing 5 degrees on my bike. The pic I used to show the location oil pressure switch was not my bike. Just a pic I had saved from KP.com. I wish I could help you but I dont know to do this mod.Comment

It's a pretty simple mod to do. Just have the left side cover gasket available and you will do fine. I changed mine out in less than ten minutes on the 771. If you like, I will extract the pages from the manual and e-mail them to youComment
