  • clutch assy

hi there. I changed my clutch assy yesterday, located in the same area as the front sprocket. I am now questioning whether i have put it in in the correct way. as you look at the bike, the pivot point of the new assy is located on the left hand side. I am now thinking that it should be on the right hand side. any help is very gratefully received.

    my bike is a 1994 gsxf 600

go to the wiki, and download your service manual, it shows you the proper procedures to replace the parts correctly....it has pictures and everything

the part I believe yer referring to is the "clutch release assembly"

the arm that hooks to the cable should be pointed towards the rear of the bike, and the pivoting clip that attaches to the end of the cable will be directly in line vertically with where the clutch cable enters the sprocket cover.

its very difficult to install it incorrectly and have the cable still able to be connected.
