So I recently bought an 1989 Katana gsx600f. Long story short, I had a Bike mechanic a friend recommended rebuild the carbs. After I got it back, it Idled great, but when I was in any gear I couldn't get it to Rev past 7000 RPM. Great I'm thinking. So after some digging, I pulled the new air filter out and looked at the carbs through the air box, and saw that 3 slides weren't lifting. So to test if it was the Diaphragm's I put a stretchy O-ring between the slides and the Diaphragm's. Voila, Rev's fully and pulls super strong. Dealer want like 170 bucks per slide... I've read the Diaphragm's can be replaced, Is this something I should pursue or...?
Thanks in advance!
