tach not working

  • tach not working

    battery was dead on my bike so i hjad to push start it and noticed the lights were really dim and the tach wasnt working. replaced the battery, but the tach still isnt working. was told it could b the battery or the genarator. my bikie is an 04 katana 600

    put a volt meter on the battery and see what the voltage is

        Yes especially if you didnt charge it properly after you bought it plus it can just help rule it out

          ok, well i charged it jus like the deal said. the tach worked jus fine until the other night when i push started it, i stopped and gased up b4 work and had to push start it and the tach worked jus fine, unitl i had to push start it after work

            check the fuses??

            a volt meter will also tell you if its charging , rev to 4000rpm and take voltage reading
